Insects being ate for breakfeast, lunch, and dinner. Is this a crazy idea or is this genius? There are millions of insects in the world and the United States just does not seem to be one of the continents that openly feasts on this bountiful abundance of insects. Other countries that in India or Thailand eat many different types of insects, these aren't the only countries that eat bugs, but these are the only two I can think of.
From the video we watched the other day I was sort of amazed by the fact that we had so many bugs and I had no idea that this planet is dominated by bugs. I know that eating bugs is definatly not any my part of thinking when I want to eat, but in many other countries their diets consists of large amounts of insects. Insects however from what I learned are a huge source of protein and can be very good depending on how they are served.
After I learned this I really thought about going and buying then cooking some sort of insect to see what they tasted like. I so far have not done this, but the first opportunity I get to eat some insects I think I will try them, except if they are spiders because I really don't like spiders and can't even imagine putting a spider in my mouth and eating it. I am just wondering however where I could find a place in columbus ohio that sells insects to be ate. So if you have any suggestions about this tell me.
I wonder though how many people in America eat insects for a huge part of their diet, and how their health is. I know the man on the video said they were good, but what if you eat a bad insect, will it kill you or what. I think I will look more into this bug eating thing before I try it.
