College is the final schooling for many students, but is college right for everyone. In my mind college is for the student that wants to be there and wants to achieve more. College is definatley not the right choice for everyone and there are other opportunities for those students who college is not right for, such as career center or self employment.
College for me, however seems like it will be the right choice. I have huge dreams in my life and the one option that will help me attain the career that I want is to go to college and further expand my education. To become and anesthesiologist will take many years of college and extra learning, but it is my dream job, so far. College will be very different from high school, as I have seen with my sister. The workload seems huge and she seems to have even less time than when she was in high school. I see this and in some ways I think I'd rather not even go through that, but I know in the end it will be best for me.
Another huge question about college is, what is the right college for me? There are hundreds of thousands of colleges out there and they all claim to be the best for each individual. How do we decide on a college? In my opinion the college you go to needs to fit your personality, your career choice, and what you want it to be. There are many colleges and there is atleast one college out there that you can like, has your personality, and has your career that you want to major in. Colleges are there for you, you just have to find them. Another thing I have realized is that you need to start sooner than later at looking for a college. It will help out and will help you be able to make up your mind when your not feeling rushed.
